I phoned BC Diamond Drilling & Sawing Ltd. and was impressed with how helpful they were on the phone. They managed to arrange a same-day call-out for the work we needed, which was fantastic. Two friendly, professional guys turned up and got straight to it. They even helped us move a few cupboards out of the way to position the drill properly, which was greatly appreciated. They worked efficiently, cleaned up after themselves, and were an absolute pleasure to have on-site. Highly recommend this company for their professionalism, friendliness, and excellent service!

Core Drilling West SussexCore Drilling

Core drilling is a fundamental technique in the construction industry and is widely used across West Sussex. This method involves drilling precise cylindrical holes into various construction materials, including concrete, masonry, brickwork, and asphalt. At BC Diamond Drilling & Sawing Ltd, we cut holes as small as 12 mm and as large as 1 metre in diameter.

In West Sussex, core drilling plays an important role in projects involving historic buildings, coastal structures, commercial premises, and infrastructure upgrades. For instance, when works are carried out around Arundel Castle, core drilling can be used to investigate structural elements, install new service routes, and support careful refurbishment works without causing unnecessary damage to surrounding materials. Around Worthing Pier, core drilling is a practical solution for creating precise openings for maintenance, repair, and upgrade works in a busy seafront environment where accuracy and control matter. Likewise, on industrial and marine-related sites connected to Shoreham Port, core drilling is often required for utility penetrations, anchor points, drainage routes, and structural alteration works that need to be completed safely, cleanly, and efficiently.

Stitch Drilling West SussexStitch Drilling

Stitch drilling is a valuable technique within the construction industry and is commonly employed across West Sussex. This method involves drilling closely spaced holes along a defined line and is typically used for creating openings in concrete, masonry, brickwork, and other robust building materials. As a core drilling technique, we can stitch holes from 12 mm in diameter.

In West Sussex, stitch drilling is especially useful on projects that require structural alterations to be carried out with accuracy and control. For instance, when works are undertaken around Arundel Castle, stitch drilling can be used to form precise openings for new services, access points, or structural changes while helping to protect the character of the surrounding structure. Similarly, on projects connected to Worthing Pier, stitch drilling can assist with careful alteration and maintenance works where clean, controlled cutting is essential in a coastal environment. Furthermore, on industrial and marine-related works associated with Shoreham Port, stitch drilling is often used to create openings for new utility routes, structural modifications, and infrastructure upgrades while supporting safe and efficient project delivery.

Controlled Demolition West SussexDemolition

Controlled demolition is a highly specialised technique within the construction industry and is widely used across West Sussex where structures need to be dismantled safely, precisely, and with minimal disruption to surrounding buildings or live environments. One of the most effective tools in controlled demolition is the Brokk machine, a remote-controlled robotic demolition system designed to break out concrete, remove structural elements, and operate safely in confined or sensitive spaces where traditional methods are less suitable.

In West Sussex, sites such as Shoreham Port can benefit from controlled demolition when ageing concrete structures, internal slabs, or redundant plant areas need to be removed in a busy operational setting without unnecessary disruption to surrounding activity. Likewise, on redevelopment and remediation works connected to Shoreham Cement Works, Brokk machines are well suited to breaking out damaged structural concrete and carrying out phased demolition in complex industrial environments where safety, reach, and control are essential.

Wire Sawing West SussexWire Sawing

Wire sawing is a versatile and precise cutting method widely employed in the construction industry, with a range of applications across West Sussex’s restoration, infrastructure, and structural alteration projects. This technique uses a flexible wire fitted with diamond beads to cut through concrete, steel, masonry, and stone with minimal vibration and a high degree of control, making it particularly effective where large or complex sections need to be removed safely.

In West Sussex, landmarks such as Arundel Castle can benefit from wire sawing during restoration and structural repair works, where sections of heavy masonry or stone need to be cut carefully without causing unnecessary stress to the surrounding structure. Similarly, on marine and infrastructure projects connected to Shoreham Port, wire sawing is well suited to cutting and removing large areas of reinforced concrete or structural elements with the precision needed to maintain safety, access, and operational continuity.

Floor Sawing West SussexFloor Sawing

Floor sawing is a critical technique in the construction industry that involves using specialised equipment to make precise horizontal cuts into concrete or asphalt surfaces. It is widely used across West Sussex for structural alterations, roadworks, service installations, demolition preparation, and maintenance projects where clean, controlled cutting is essential.

In West Sussex, floor sawing is particularly valuable on coastal, commercial, and infrastructure-led projects. Around Worthing Pier, floor sawing can be used to create clean and accurate openings for repair works, service upgrades, and the removal of damaged concrete sections while helping to protect the surrounding structure. Likewise, on marine and utility-focused projects connected to Chichester Marina, floor sawing is well suited to forming trenches, joints, and access cuts for drainage, utility routes, and surface alterations needed to support long-term functionality and safe operation.

Wall Sawing West SussexWall Sawing

Wall sawing employs specialised equipment to create precise and controlled cuts in vertical or inclined surfaces, typically made from concrete, masonry, brickwork, or other hard materials. It is widely used across West Sussex on structural alteration, refurbishment, and restoration projects where clean openings need to be formed accurately and with minimal disruption to surrounding materials.

In West Sussex, wall sawing is especially valuable on projects involving historic, civic, and mixed-use buildings. Around Arundel Castle, wall sawing can be used to carefully remove sections of masonry or form controlled openings for restoration and service integration works while helping to preserve the integrity of the surrounding structure. Likewise, on redevelopment and refurbishment projects associated with The Novium Museum in Chichester, wall sawing is well suited to creating precise openings for doors, glazing, and upgraded building services, allowing new interventions to sit neatly alongside the existing built environment.

Ring Sawing West SussexRing Sawing

Ring sawing employs a ring-shaped, diamond-tipped blade to create precise and deep cuts in a range of materials, including concrete, masonry, and brickwork. It is particularly useful on projects where greater cutting depth is needed than a standard disc cutter can typically achieve, while still maintaining control, accuracy, and a clean finish.

In West Sussex, ring sawing is well suited to projects involving historic, coastal, and structural refurbishment works. Around Arundel Castle, ring sawing can be used to cut through substantial masonry sections for carefully planned alterations and service integration works while helping to preserve the integrity of the surrounding structure. Similarly, on maintenance and repair projects associated with Worthing Pier, ring sawing offers a controlled method for removing damaged or deteriorated concrete sections where precision and safe handling are essential in an exposed coastal environment.
