BC Diamond Drilling & Sawing Ltd has carried out well over 550 projects since our launching in August 2021. To provide you with a better idea of our clients and the tasks we undertake, we've include a few case studies.
In Chatham, a specialised project was completed to create a 1m x 1m access opening in a 160mm reinforced concrete (R/C) slab. The work was performed using a hand sawing method. To safely remove the cut concrete section, a 3-ton block and tackle system, mounted on an A-frame, was utilised. This precise operation was necessary to provide essential access to machinery situated on the floor below.
Our red Hilti track saw machine in action, cutting a set of concrete stairs in a building in Olympia for a new restaurant. The machine is positioned on a metal track that is secured to the stairs, guiding the cutting blade precisely. The cut is being made at a 45-degree angle through a 350mm thick concrete slab, effectively cutting the stairs in half for a client.
At Gatwick Airport, we drilled two holes of 52mm through R/C wall for the new high voltage room they’re installing. This job had to be no dust so we used the Hilti Recycling Vac.
Working for Colemans Construction, we drilled a 350 diametre core in a water treatment works in Gravesend. This allow Thames Water to attach new waste management system to the existing sewers.
30,000 holes needed on the site. Reason for drilling this amount of holes is because of all the bolts left in the floor from the racking. Site location is Thurrock for global company, Kaizen.
x1 200 diameter hole through a 300mm R/C slab for HBS Building Services. The reason for the hole was for a new service, for instance, a sprinkle pipe.
BC Diamond Drilling & Sawing were called out earlier this week to a resident of North London. He required us to create an opening in his property's reinforced concrete floor, so he could install an underground safe.
BC Diamond Drilling & Sawing Ltd received a phone call from Zona Construction who required wall openings on a project in Mayfair, London.
The walls in question were 280mm thick brick, so we used a solid saw to cut 165mm deep first. Once the initial cut was completed, we used our 3 phase power ring saw to cut 280mm deep.
By the end of the day, Zona Construction had several door openings.
BC Diamond Drilling & Sawing Ltd was called out to Lincolnshire by OBM.
We were called out because a wall and concrete shuttering wasn’t bolted up properly. So, we had to cut it out, so they can rebuild it correctly.
Conducted track sawing and brokk demolition through 450mm reinforced concrete walls of 4.5m wide by 5m height.
