Floor Sawing

We carried out specialist hand sawing works to form a 1 m ร— 1 m access opening through a 160 mm thick reinforced concrete slab at a site in Chatham. The concrete section was carefully lifted out using an A-frame and a 3-tonne block and tackle. The opening was required to provide access to machinery located below the slab, and the works were completed safely and efficiently with full control throughout the lifting operation.

In Chatham, a specialised project was completed to create a 1m x 1m access opening in a 160mm reinforced concrete (R/C) slab. The work was performed using a hand sawing method. To safely remove the cut concrete section, a 3-ton block and tackle system, mounted on an A-frame, was utilised. cut a set of stairs in half olympia 350mm concrete 45 degree angle

Our red Hilti track saw machine in action, cutting a set of concrete stairs in a building in Olympia for a new restaurant. The machine is positioned on a metal track that is secured to the stairs, guiding the cutting blade precisely. The cut is being made at a 45-degree angle through a 350mm thick concrete slab, effectively cutting the stairs in half for a client.

Modus Construction Consultants urgently contacted BC Diamond Drilling & Sawing Ltd to create an opening. We needed to prepare the Hastings site efficiently because bricklayers were due to arrive the following week in order to start building 5 blocks of flats.

We cut 550mm deep straight edge using the track saw through reinforced concrete slabs. Then began to stitch drill holes of 180mm diameter as the opening was too small to use the track saw.
